experience

Software Engineer

Accurat | November 2023 - Today

A significant part of my role involves designing and improving internal libraries and frameworks to support our team’s work. Besides that, I am also responsible for managing our backend and SDK freelance developers, ensuring smooth collaboration and project progress.

Code Optimizer

Accurat | May 2023 - June 2023

Thanks to the work I did during my internship, I was invited back to Accurat to optimize three of their primary algorithms. I achieved cost reductions of 45.1%, 46.4%, and an impressive 93.2% for each algorithm.

Machine Learning Engineer Internship

Accurat | February 2023 - April 2023

I improved the quality and runtime of Accurats transport mode and trip detection script, leading to better and faster results.

Master's Thesis: Predicting Personalized Solar Energy Production Based on Historical Data

UGent Niko | September 2022 - June 2023

My master's thesis was conducted in collaboration with Niko. I developed a predictive model for estimating the solar energy production of their customers, considering model size constraints and the diverse range of customer installations.

Software Engineer Jobstudent

imec | October 2022 - December 2022

I developed a pipeline that converts the open data of meteo.be into linked data. This was under the supervision of dr. ir. Ben De Meester.

Software Engineer Jobstudent

IDLab | September 2020

I participate in the research and implementation of the Community Solid Server of the Solid project. This was under the supervision of prof. dr. ir. Ruben Verborgh (UGent).

Open Summer of Code

OSOC | July 2020

I worked on the Shmdoc project. Shmdoc is a tool that enables the annotation of scientific datasets using a combination of automatic and manually applied annotations. This tool was developed as a proof of concept for VLIZ.
